THE HEART GOD IS LOOKING FOR

(by Caleb W. Stroud)

Lord, by Your hand You made all things

And said, “It’s all good!”

Lord, You became a humble man

That we may know You.

Lord, You made a way for the redeemed

Through Your shed blood.

Lord, You deserve to rule all things…

All glory to Your name!

~~~~~
Only YOU have the right
To take control of my life;
Only YOU can decide
What’s wrong or right;
Oh, my King,
YOU are my God!
~~~~~

Lord break my heart for I am proud

Of my own life!

Lord strip me of my conceit,

Please expose me!

Lord throw me off of my throne,

For I’m unworthy!

Lord pour contempt on all my pride…

Break me down!

~~~~~
Only YOU have the right
To take control of my life;
Only YOU can decide
What’s wrong or right;
Oh, my King,
YOU are my God!
~~~~~

Humble me, Bring me to my knees!

Humble me,

Lord, do what You need!

~~~~~
Only YOU have the right
To take control of my life;
Only YOU can decide
What’s wrong or right;
Oh, my King,
YOU are my God!
