HEBREWS 2:16-18

For surely it is not angels He helps, but Abraham’s descendants.  For this reason He had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in service to God, and that He might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because He Himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted.

Thank you for your response. ✨

My Lord, Jesus, I love you not only for the work You have completed in securing my eternal salvation through Your own sacrificial life and death, but for the work You continue to do on my behalf as my merciful and faithful High Priest. Lord, I know You are enthroned at the right hand of the Majesty on High and that you continue to represent me before the Heavenly Father’s throne in glory. Thank You for loving me and defending me, not on the basis of any personal merit that I could ever bring before you, I have none, but only because You know that I love you, You know that I’ve placed all my faith, all my hope, all my trust in You and in what You’ve done for me. You know that I seek to render obedience unto you, my Lord, and to accomplish Your will for my life that I might honor Your amazing sacrifice and Your continued love for me. Oh my Jesus, be my advocate when the evil one, and his earthly associates, seek to beat me down with the guilt and the fear of my own transgressions and render void my hope of continued service to Your name’s honor and glory. May I rest in the calm assurance of Your mercy, Your grace, Your continued advocasy on my behalf. And may Your love lift me up to an ever higher plain of life and service in Your eternal kingdom.
